The 2013 Spirit of Nations Powwow commemorates the tragedy and triumph of the Cherokee people who were forced from their traditional homelands in the East to a new land in what is now the state of Oklahoma. In recognition of this historic anniversary, traditional Cherokee dances will be held at this year's powwow.
