Mark and Sherry Finchum will set up an 18th century campsite.  They will discuss how the Cherokee lived during that period and display many items used in daily life.  Sherry will  also demonstrate  cooking over a fire using traditional  Cherokee recipes. mands
       

shirley Famed Cherokee potter Shirley Oswalt from Robbinsville, North Carolina, will demonstrate the making of traditional Cherokee pottery.  Fluent in the Cherokee language, Shirley will also be conducting classes to help visitors learn a few words and phrases.

The blacksmith shop will be in operation for visitors to learn how
metal tools were made and traded to the Cherokee.
       
Emma Garrett, nationally  known Cherokee basketmaker, will demonstrate the art of making rivercane baskets.

Driver Pheasant will       demonstrate his 
expertise in making
blowgun darts.  He is a champion blowgun competitor, having recently won the southeastern championship!
