The annual Siege at the Blockhouse is held at Natural Tunnel State Park in Duffield, Virginia. Activities during the day include a horse race and a confrontation between the Cherokee and the settlers around the Anderson blockhouse. A young white woman is captured, but decides to stay with the Cherokee, where she is treated in a better way. The evening concludes with storytelling and a nighttime raid. The Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Association works in conjunction with the park staff to host a fun and educational event that tells both sides of the story.
